Howdy all
Welcome to a bigger UIC
Welcome to all the new leagues that have joined us, we hope that you have a pleasant journey in this our 5th season.
Apologies to any other leagues that were attempting to join but at this point we are only taking 24 teams.
However those of you that were wanting in are now on the waiting list and we will keep in contact with you.
This coming Saturday sees the commencement of UIC5 and I hope that everyone is all geared up and ready to go.
That’s having all your players signed up correctly and that you will be prompt in getting everyone to LOGEN II by the time we start (6pm).
Captains of the “home” team are to be in the lobby by at least 15 minutes to start time so they can be given the tables.
For your information, this season we are trialling a different set-up with some of the weaker teams – they are combining, as in the case of Real Players and Freedom who will be using the rpfr_ initials before their names if you have to report to them.
OK I hear some saying “….but RP were runners-up last season, why should they be able to combine and we can’t?”
The simple answer is that RP have had an exodus of players and therefore would have had to withdraw from UIC – we didn’t want that to happen hence the combine.
PLEASE NOTE
We are removing the rule about accusing somebody of using AA – we won’t be boxing anyone for it anymore – quite frankly we are totally sick and tired of the hassle and the angst that it brings us.
However having said that, if you continue to disrupt the lobby or tables then u will be kicked out of UIC on your sweet fanny because we don’t want that garbage either.
The rule we will be rescinding is Rule 15 which states:
“15. Accusations, veiled comments or even joking about AA are NOT tolerated in UIC. There will be no warning about this -- Banishment from UIC awaits any offenders and it is MOST DEFINITELY ENFORCED.
Don't let this happen to you as it only serves to disadvantage your league.”
The subsequent penalty will also be removed:
“Unproven cheating accusations of ANY kind or veiled comments or 'jokes' alluding to cheating and deemed by the Admin Council of UIC to be so. – penalty = Banning from UIC”
Quite simply – if you want to be an idiot and gain nothing but disrespect then go ahead.
The rule pertaining to non-reported games will be enforced just as it is in your home league.
If you don’t report your losses then you will be subject to an 8 day boxing and your team will have a win reversed.
BE SMART!!!! Don’t disadvantage your TEAM.
If, for some reason, you find that you can’t report a loss – inform your Captain immediately so they can, in turn, inform a UIC Admin and arrangements can be made to have it done.
REMINDER CAPTAINS
It is your responsibility to check both your own players and your opposition players for eligibility - if you don't and there is a problem discovered after the game or match then it will be bad luck - the result will stand as is.
As is normal every captain, winner and loser, is to post in the UIC forum and include the vote for the opposition MVP - no vote then your own player will not be credited with a vote.
If you are unsure how to do this see how to here >> http://uic5.sitesled.com/uicreportingstandard.htm
Also it would be to your advantage to ensure that the admin team are added to your YIM because a lot of prompts go out that way.
If anyone has any problems at all contact an admin ASAP – don’t leave it.
This newsletter is being sent in plenty of time for any problems to be rectified so don’t say you weren’t told.
See you all in LOGEN II @ 6pm on Saturday 13th and GL to ALL teams.
